This is about to be the shortest post ever because in 10 hours, I am officially Ms. Pezzanite or Ms. P or whatever the kids are calling me these days... and I still have some work/sleep to do before I'm ready for them.
I'm not sure I've ever met over 150 new people in one day before. There is a very real possibility that I will not have enough desks for one of my classes and I used 1/5th of my paper for the year today on just the materials I need for tomorrow (printed double sided and half sheets...). I have no idea how tomorrow is going to go, but I saw a lot of their faces today at our open house and was reminded that they are just kids, made and loved by the same God who made and loves me. Thursday, we'll talk about building intelligence, academic goals, and "working hard to get smart" but tonight I am only praying for two things.
I hope, whatever happens tomorrow, this week, and this year, that I will have joy in what I'm doing here and that I will love them well.
Will you pray that for me too?
